Tuesday, November 4th, is your opportunity to vote.
When I vote, I find energy and joy. If you look at the faces of people lined up to vote, and the faces of people walking out when they have voted, thier's is a look of pride and satisfaction.
It is our great right, our gift, our power as a nation. Right, left, center, vote. There is a wisdom in in Democracy. It may not be perfect, but it is still better than the alternatives.
For you, we have put some quotes together that you might enjoy.
Ben B. Boothe Sr.
“People often say that, in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote - a very different thing.” - Walter H. Judd
“Hell, I never vote for anybody, I always vote against.” - W.C. Fields, 1880-1946
“I admit that books were voted in and out, and that the Bible was finally formed in accordance with a vote” - Robert Green Ingersoll quotes (American Statesman and Orator, noted for his broad range of culture. 1833-1899)
“A vote is like a rifle; its usefulness depends upon the character of the user.” - Theodore Roosevelt quotes (American 26th US President (1901-09), 1858-1919)
The election in 2008 could be a turning point.
